instinct and reason has assisted Australia Council for the Arts in releasing their independent study, called Arts in Daily Life: Australian Participation in the Arts, which provides insight into how Australians participate in the arts today. The study provides a comparison of shifting attitudes and behaviours by benchmarking the findings in 2013 against those from the original study in 2009.

instinct and reason conducted the fieldwork and analysis for both the original 2009 study and the follow-up 2013 benchmarking study.
